A little bit about me:

i'm lauren and i cant wait to meet you!

I love hanging out with my kids, beach combing for really neat shells, cuddling with my dog who just so happens to be named Princess Fiona after the movie Shrek, and being an amazing wife to my husband while bringing joy to peoples lives through professional photography. I also type the way I talk, and often find myself being pretty long winded. I am super down to earth, pretty dang fun, and super creative. When I get clients who trust me 120%, their galleries are beyond EPIC. At the end of the day, I'm just a girl who fell in love with photography, who knows how to use her camera as an amazing tool to create what she imagines her mind. I also enjoy museums, and find inspiration in  architecture, high end fashion  magazines and underground art.

Let's talk

about bokeh love...

I started Bokeh Love Photography long before it was an actual business. Through trial and error and learning new things, it was officially established in 2013. I wanted to create a company where my clients were able to experience what it felt like to sit down and have their special moments taken care of for them by someone they know. Putting their trust into someone that isn't just an email address or a phone number, but a friend. I built my business out of  love and I continue to nurture it by taking the steps to learn new things, stay up to date with trends, all the while maintaining the original idea of my company; to provide a wonderful experience documenting and curating beautiful images for people that appreciate quality through professional photography. Today, Bokeh Love Photography has been published in many wedding blogs, and has won Best of The Knot 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 as well as Best of The Knot Hall of Fame for having won Best of The Knot four consecutive years in a row. Additionally, BLP has also won the Couples Choice Awards for Wedding Wire in 2017. I am very proud of my accomplishments, and I am in love with each wedding and portraits session I have, not because I have to be, but because I am creating art. As an artist, I want you to love your images, just as much as I do. I love a challenge, and look forward to working on new projects each time an inquiry comes through.

my favorite things:

#1. Family

#2. The ocean

#3. Starbucks!

There are so many things that I could call my favorite. I am very into health and fitness, enjoying time with my family, and being active both mentally and physically. Reading, talking a walk, participating in local groups, meeting new people and being a positive role model for my children! In the end, what really matters is that you are always surrounded by the people you love and like being around! Fine out what makes you happy, and spend the rest of your time enjoying life! The number 1 thing that makes me happy... is watching my family grow from babies to big kids. It's sad, because they're no longer babies, but I make it a goal of mine to have our family portraits done twice each year by a professional photographer.  I want to be in the photos with my family, and they need me to be present in these images, because one day, these images will be the only thing that is left. I am slowing building my families legacy, and I hope I can do that for your family so you can be present and make the amazing memories!

What's in my bag:

I get asked by clients and other photographers, "what do you take to weddings?" So, here it is! I carry two camera bodies, all of these lenses AND 7 speedlights and a ton light modifiers and colored gels. I love Nikon products, and because I use their gear religiously, I am a Nikon Professional Services member. I also use Godox lighting and MagMod for all of my specialty lighting that you see during the reception, at night, in church and even for family formals or portraits! I couldn't carry all of this stuff without my pelican case, which actually survived my house fire! (Yes, that really happened!)
